Product Description
The Colt CM556-16H-CK Upper Assembly is used on the M5 Carbine series of rifles. Maximum performance and ergonomics are at the forefront of the M5's design; utilizing a proven carbine length gas system with Colt's free float rail and upper receiver system. This system maximizes rail space and shooter comfort, reducing weight and bulk while maintaining the same lethality and accuracy expected. The barrel is Colt's standard 16" chrome lined M4 barrel with an A2 flash hider up front.

great upper. beyond my expectations. put about 1k through it so far, at stoeger/joel park class and some range days running drills. shockingly a soft shooter for a 16" carbine gas with 55 ball and h buffer. ejection was perfect. comparing this to many .72-.78 ported 14.5 and 16 mids and intermediates with and without a5 systems. i have not yet measured the gp to see if it is.62 or something less than typical for normal colt carbine spec. the bcg passed all green on sotar gauges i had. balance was not a big deal though obviously more nose heavy than Core and ELW and other tapered barrels i have. I am very critical to the platform and really dont have any complaints. slept on upper for sure. I hope they dont give up on it,

Awesome upper , bcg is C marked,,upper receiver has forge mark (no “C”) no scuffs on the upper, Troy buis are good to go. Charging handle is Colt branded ambi. Packed well , anti corrosion bag is marked 01/24, ordered on a Sunday and received on Wednesday.

Nice light weight upper
Very nice all Colt upper. Free floating barrel should accurate. The M lock design is light weight which is a plus if you’re carrying the gun around. For range use and easy mounting of accessories, the Colt Monolithic is my preferred option if you can find one.
