Colt M4 SOCOM 14.5 inch 5.56mm Barrel Assembly w/ Fixed Front Sight

Came in a sealed clear plastic bag compared to other Factory ones I've seen were in a bluish tinted bag so make your own judgment on that, other defining Colt marks are what you would expect to see from what others have posted on the chat sites. Threads were a bit marred but after some clean up the hider went on w/no issues. FSB is straight along with nice rifling and good chamber, headspace checked out good and overall finish was nice and it included the sight post. Price is excellent at $240 compared to 300+ at other retailers and the free shipping was quick. If you want an SOCOM M4 style rifle this barrel is a good start, add a pinned A2EX flash hider brings it to the 16" min length and you can't really tell the difference from the standard A2 hider at a distance. Overall I am happy and other than the thread issue it would have been a 5 star rating. Have not been to the range yet but should be an good shooter but still waiting on a few other goodies before we get there.

While the items were out of stock, I was notified by AA when they returned to stock. This is a plus for a company. After the purchase, the charge did not show on my card for a week or longer. I emailed and received no response for three days until I received a tracking update. This is a negative for a company. The items arrived and were factory packaged so there were no problems with packaging and the items were not torn up by shipment. This is a plus. The time frames for acknowledging an email, charging a card, and shipping an item were detractors. Emailing to notify items were in stock, providing tracking numbers and shipping in factory packaging are positives. So overall this was a good transaction. There is room for improvement that could have made this an excellent transaction. Not quite there.
