Colt M4 Commando 11.5 inch 5.56mm Heavy Barrel

Worked great! Did have a 0.073 gas hole but was perfect for my use!

Barrel came quickly in good shape. Colt box, blue bag, barrel wick. I read the reviews that it may be overgassed, so I was a little concerned. Using H3 buffer and Sprinco red spring to get 3:30 to 4:00 ejection with Lake City M855. Installed in keyhole upper with Troy SOCC Gen 2 10.5" mlok rail, pinned geissele super compact gas block, Surefire ASR flash hider mount, troy BUIS. It shoots very well. Prints 1.25" 10 shot groups with 5.56 Hornady Frontier 75 grain T2 and 5.56 Bonefrog 77 grain otm (with Sig Romeo 4XT Pro and 3X magnifier). It's a high quality, durable, accurate barrel in the right profile for my needs.

Gas port is very large. It pin gauged at 0.074". It's going to be very overgassed.

Great barrel for suppressor host. Rigidity of this barrel profile helps to minimize point of impact shift with the added muzzle weight of a suppressor.

This is the perfect profile for an FBI HRT clone. The gas block is pinned in but a vise, punch and hammer take care of them in no time.

Excellent barrel , tested for function , will become part of SBR build.

Great barrel, BUT, be aware these barrels have a .073 diameter gas port. I have 3 examples of this barrel and all three measure the same, .073. Unless pared with an adjustable gas block or gas port restrictor your rifle will be overgassed. For suppressed use it will be severely overgassed. The gas port size should be listed in the product description.
