Colt AR15A4 5.56mm Semi-Auto Rifle | 20" Barrel

Lower Receiver: The stamp is solid and clear. Colt defense Hartford Conn USA. The receiver stamp is marked Carbine. 5.56 cal and CR series. It also has the digital code you can scan for whatever. The safety selector is actually ambidextrous but smaller on the right side. Upper : Detachable carrying handle with a square forge mark and 6/3 sights. Upper is also stamped with the square forge mark, along with their cage code next to it. Barrel: C stamped along with MP and 5.56 NATO 1/7. Standard 20 with FSB with (8)2 forge stamp. Bolt: The carrier is stamped light with their classic C on the side and the bolt with MPC as always. Im happy with the purchase. Its a colt period. The only thing that Im not happy with is it being stamped CARBINE. Its not a carbine, corporate playing politics. The model is CR6700A4 but still stamped carbine!? Who knows maybe these will be worth a lot of money one day. It's funny people bash these rifles but they still fly off the shelf.

Shallow electro pencil cage code marking on the upper. “Carbine” on the lower. No date code on the barrel. Shallow EP marking on the bolt and carrier. Looks kinda slapped together TBH. It shot as well as my 2015 A4, and that’s the only way I can justify 3 stars. For the money… I’d probably get something else. Colt ain’t Colt anymore. Hard to even know what’s sourced. Might be easier to find out what isn’t sourced…

In the year 2000 when I first got into guns, I wanted a Colt AR15 but they were too expensive. 18 years later they have the come down in price, they now have bayonet lugs and flash hiders (think 94 AWB), but most importantly, Colt's quality still remains. Everyone will always compare themselves to Colt. I always compared my substandard ARs to Colts. Why compare when you can now own?
