The AU 7" Drop-In Carbine Length Quad Rail is a high quality 2-piece picatinny forend replacement for all mil-spec AR15/M4 carbine length plastic hand guards. They mount exactly like the factory hand guards but dissipate heat much more efficiently. Rails are located at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, there are also 5 quick detach anti-rotate swivel ports located throughout for ideal sling attachment. The AU design ensures a secure fit with no movement on the weapon while providing a solid mounting platform for accessories. The precision machined rails enable consistent repeat of zero for any accuracy dependent devices such as optics or lasers.Made in USA

Great Little Handguard
I ordered one of these not expecting much. I was wrong. When it arrived, I was impressed by the quality of the unit. It has a soft texture finish, easy on the palm.. It must have been sandblasted by some fine grit before finishing. The edges on the rails are not sharp and painful to hold, like some ARs' I've held. Once I figured out where the gas tube cut is (no instructions), it was simple and fast to install and took less than a minute. I like the feel of the "Mattel" stock AR handguards, and this one feels every bit as good with 4 areas to attach accessories.. i was so pleased I bought 2 more. They're not as nice as a keymod or m-lok, but for what they are and at this price, they're great.

Solid!
I had standard hand guard with a picatinny adapter and a taco fore grip and those wobbled a lot. This was easy to install and the fore grip no longer wobbles!

I haven't installed the handgaurds yet but they seems well built and easy to install. I want to comment more on the customer service which has always been great. Added to the unique inventory and reasonable prices, I've become a regular customer.

AU Drop In Quad Rail
Used this rail recently for a training class and it perforned beyond expectations. I used Magpul XT rail covers on the open rails and mounted a GPI Grip Pod to use during the prone "unsupported" shots at the 100 meter line. The rails lock up solid to the upper with the only detectable wiggle coming from the play between the lower. Machine finish and anodizing is beautifully done. The qd sling attachments are surely a bonus. I think these are a great alternative to KAC Rails for a working carbine and they are priced right. Be sure to line up the tab with the slot in the front handgaurd mount ring when installing.
