I purchased my bolt carrier group in Oct. 2023. It does not have any “C” markings. The bolt is marked “MP” without the “C.” There are no other markings anywhere, and I’ve looked over it in detail under bright light. This is disappointing because these bolt carrier groups command a premium price and we have no way to verify that they are authentic, particularly when trying to build an all-Colt clone rifle. Most any bolt carrier group - even cheap ones - will work in an AR for a while. But in the case of Colt, we are paying for superior function and longevity. That can’t be verified until after years of use. It’s one thing to farm out your manufacturing; it is another to not even be willing to put your name on your product. I won’t purchase any more Colt products if they can’t be validated as authentic.

The bolt is correctly marked MPC, and the carrier is electro pencil engraved with a "C" under the very heavy Colt parkerizing. I have seen a ton of Colt bolt carriers marked exactly like this that I personally took out of factory Colt rifles. You have to look just behind the cam pin track, centered vertically and horizontally between the front edge of the carrier and the firing pin retaining pin hole. It can be real hard to see under the parkerizing but it's there on this example. Perfect.

5 Stars would be the Bolt Carrier Group assembly marked with "C". And, since Colt farms out their firearns & parts is disappointing, but, at the same time, as I've using parts there hasn't been any issues. Also, I will continue to purchase "Colt" items.

Genuine article, that particular shade of parkerizing. Great customer service as well, there was an issue with damaged product (damaged in transit), and they took care of it. Solid.

At first, I was skeptical due to a number of bad reviews of the business and payment processing company which they employ. As it turned out my fears were unjustified. The BCG came within 5 days and I was pleased with the product. The bolt was marked MP but there was no “C” marking on the carrier. The staking was done perfectly just like I’ve seen in photos. In all I’m very happy in the quality and price saving over other online stores.
